Our matcha farm partner practices organic framing but does not participate in the Japanese Agricultural Standard Organic Certification program. The matcha undergoes extensive third-party testing for radiation, heavy metals, and over 700 pesticides and herbicides to ensure it meets our standards. Our Single Origin ceremonial grade matcha is sourced from a small sustainable farm in the majestic coastal hills of Shizuoka, Japan. The plants are grown without pesticides, and shaded by an array of solar panels. They are hand-harvested in the spring, and freshly slow ground using traditional stone-milling tools to preserve nutrients and vibrancy. Enjoy its exceptional smoothly robust flavor, brilliant color, and elevating energy.
Shizuoka translates to “tranquil hills.” It is situated alongside the Pacific Ocean in central east coast of Japan. The optimal growing conditions of dense coastal fog, mild seasons, mineral rich soils and ample sunlight make this matcha revered.
